Component field default value

You can set a default value on your component form element, this is optional.

Important

The default value will be used when the Component is placed onto the Layout canvas. Once placed, the value becomes part of the content. If you change the default value in your Component configuration, the change will not propagate to Components that have been placed. This is by design.

To add a default value:

Navigate to a component
Double click on a form field element on the Component form builder
Within the Default section enter a default value.
