The Layout canvas can be added to content entities to allow website editors to create content with rich layouts.

To add the Layout canvas you will add a Layout canvas field to your content entity. As an example, the steps below describe adding the Layout canvas field to a Content type. Follow the same process for other content entity types.

Adding the layout canvas field

1. Navigate to Structure > Content types > (Select a content type)
2. Click on Manage fields
3. Click Add field
4. Select Layout canvas in the Add a new field drop-down
   
   
   
   
    
5. In the Field label, enter Layout canvas (or another descriptive label). 
6. Click Save and continue
7. On the next screen click Save settings.
