Introduction

The Traffic Sources module provides information about how your visitors arrive at your site. This document describes the dashboard summary and the actions that users can take on the page.

Navigation

1. Log in to your Web Governance account.
2. Select the domain that you want to work with.
3. Expand the left menu bar if the options are not visible.
4. Click Insights.
5. Click Site Analytics.
6. Click Traffic Sources.
7. Select Summary.

Landing page

This section provides information about the dashboard.

• A Date range picker
• Metric results fields: These fields provide an overview of all metrics for the selected dates.
  • Total visits
  • Total visitors
  • Pageviews
  • Average visit time
  • Bounce rate
• The Traffic Source Trends chart provides an overview of the traffic source trends over time.
• The Referring Information sections provide information about the ways in which visitors find the page.
  • The Referring domains section provides information about domains that provide reference links to the page for the selected dates.
  • The Search engines section provides information about the search engines used by your visitors to find the page for the selected dates.
  • The Social networks section provides information about referrals to the page from social networks for the selected dates.
  • The Top keywords section provides data about the keywords used in search engines that lead to the page for the selected dates.

User actions

This section provides information about the actions you can take.

• Date range picker: Select the start and end dates to view.
• Metric results: These fields provide an overview of all metrics for the selected dates.
  • Total visits: The total number of visits to the page for the selected date range.
  • Total visitors: The total number of visitors to the page for the selected date range.
  • Pageviews: The total number of Pageviews on the page for the selected date range.
  • Average visit time: The average amount of time visitors spent on the page for the selected date range.
  • Bounce rate: The total number of visitors who left your domain from this page in the selected date range.
• The Traffic Source Trends chart provides an overview of the traffic source trends over time for the selected date range.
• The Referring Information sections provide information about the ways in which visitors find this page of your domain.
  • The Referring domains: Click External referrers overview for detailed information about external sites that refer visitors to your domain.
  • The Search engines: Click Search engines overview for detailed information about referring search engines.
  • The Social networks: Click Social network overview for detailed information about referring social networks.
  • The Top keywords: View data about the keywords used in search engines that lead to your domain for the selected dates.
