Introduction

Source CMS provides the pre-installed Web Governance module for Source CMS to enable you to run quick scans from the Drupal Canvas user interface in Source CMS.

This article provides instructions for Source CMS users on how to initiate a scan with this feature.

Prerequisites

• The user has access to Source CMS.

How to initiate the Quick Scan

This section provides instructions for authorized users on how to do a Web Governance Quick Scan with Source CMS.

1. Access your site in Source CMS.
2. On the top right, click Edit to open Drupal Canvas.
3. Navigate to the page that you want to scan.
4. In the toolbar on the left, click the Extensions icon.
5. Click Web Governance.

6. Select Start Quick Scan.

   The system displays a progress bar to show the progress of the scan render task. When finished, the results are loaded and the rendered page is sent to the Web Governance API for the scan.

7. When the module receives the results, view them summarized on the Drupal Canvas sidebar in the following categories:

   • Accessibility: Issues are summarized by guideline level (WCAG 2.1 A, WCAG 2.1 AA)

   • SEO: Issues related to search engine optimization are shown with their priority level.

8. Click View Issues to view the list of issues and the number of occurrences of each issue on the page.
9. Click the link to the Web Governance user documentation to view the user documentation.
10. Re-scan the page as needed.
