To organize assets or assets in collections in a specific order, such as by filename or date added, select an asset section. In Settings > General Settings, select a sort order.
Date added: oldest to newest or newest to oldest.
Date updated: oldest to newest or newest to oldest.
Filename: A to Z or Z to A.
Assets in the asset section or collection sort in the selected manner during portal editing and when users explore the public portal. Changing the sort order does not change the order of collection cards in a section. If you do not select a sort order, assets sort by newest to oldest. If you do not select a sort order, assets sort by newest to oldest.
If you sort by A to Z or Z to A, assets with numbers and symbols in filenames display first. The remaining assets follow based on the chosen option. If two files have comparable filenames (for example, fpo_ and FPO_), the lowercase filename displays before the capitalized filename.
In General Settings, you can also:
Display asset filenames or metadata in portals.
Enable users to search portals.
Display metadata in Quick View.
Select the number of assets to display on each page.
Pin assets or collection cards in asset sections to give precedence and display them more prevalently. The remaining assets or collections in the section display in the selected sort order. You can pin up to 100 assets or collections.
To pin assets or collections:
Add assets or collections to an asset section.
Select the Edit (pencil) icon.
Select Pin top assets or Pin top collections.
Select assets or collections to provide prominence.
Pinned items display in numerical order as you pin them. Drag and drop them to adjust the order. Select Pin & update to complete the process. Pinned items display before non-pinned assets in the Live Editor and the portal preview.
