How do I create charts in Insights reports?

Once you create an Insights report, a chart is generated on the main report page. The default chart is a line graph with data grouped by day. For portal page views reports, the default chart is a line chart grouped by day, and you can change the grouping and chart type as needed.

Change the chart by selecting how you want the data grouped along the x-axis of the chart. The options for groupings depend on event type.

Chart types

Select from five options for chart types: Area, Bar, Column, Line, and Pie.
For portal page views reports, the default chart is Line, but you can change to Area, Bar, Column, or Pie charts as needed.

Area

Bar

Column

Line

Pie

Pie charts show both a count of events and percentage of the total.

Under More options, you can download the chart as a CSV, JPEG, PNG, or SVG. You can also print it.

For certain Group by options such as asset name or group, if there are more than 10 values, another chart option will display and you can choose to show all, top 10, or top 25.

This feature is also available for portal page views grouped by portal name or portal URL, so you can quickly identify your top performing portals.
