Permissions are associated with user roles and determine a user’s level of interaction with assets in Acquia DAM app. As a DAM admin, you can enable, edit, and disable permissions for a role from the Admin app > Permission Settings > Roles. Select a role, then select Application Permissions.
When setting up roles, you can choose whether or not users can view or order assets that are released, unreleased, or expired, and the conversion formats that are available. You can also set up user permissions and asset group permissions from the Roles page. Admin approval may also be required before users in certain roles download assets in select conversion formats.
Permissions can also be enabled when you're setting up a feature on the Features page.
Definitions for user, the Assets app, and asset group permissions are listed in the tables below. There are separate permissions for the DAM app, Entries, Insights, Portals, Templates, Video Creator, and Workflow.
When you create roles using role templates, some permissions will be automatically enabled. Permissions that will be automatically enabled are indicated below. Also indicated are permissions that must be enabled by DAM admins and those that cannot be enabled for a role template.
