Projects

The Projects feature offers a centralized workspace for managing entities that are related to a specific project. For example, email, segment, and campaign entities. This ensures that all project components are organized and easily accessible.

Entities of the following types can be associated with a project:

​​Creating projects 

Creating a project through the Projects page

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Projects.
  3. On the Projects page, click +New.
  4. On the Create new project page:
    1. In the Name field, enter a name for the project.
    2. In the Description field, enter a description of the project.
  5. Click Save & Close.

    Campaign Studio creates the new project.

Creating a project through an entity

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click the entity type.

    For example, click Emails

  3. Create a new entity or edit an exiting entity. 
  4. In the Projects field, enter a name for the project and press Enter.

    Campaign Studio creates a new project on the Projects list page.

Adding entities to a project

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Projects.
  3. On the Projects list page, select the project to which you want to add entities.
  4. On the Project details page, click Add Entities to Project.
  5. Select the entity you want to add.

    Campaign Studio displays the Add Entities to Project dialog box.

  6. In the Select entity to add to project dropdown, select one or more entities that you want to add to the project.
  7. Click Add.

    Select which entity type you want to add from the provided options.

  8. To add more entities of the same type to the entity container, do the following:
    1. In the header of the entity container, click Add new to project.

      The system displays the Add new to project dialog box.

    2. Select one or more entities that you want to add to the entity type.
    3. Click Add.

Associating projects to an entity

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click the entity type.

    For example, click Emails.

  3. Create a new entity or edit an exiting entity.
  4. In the Projects field, start typing the name of an existing project and select it from the dropdown. 

Projects details page 

The Projects details page provides information about a project.

To access this page, do the following:

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Projects.
  3. On the Projects list page, select the project that you want to view or manage.

    This page contains the following information:

    • Details tab: Displays the following details about the project on expansion:
    • Created by
    • Created on
    • Modified by
    • Last modified
    • ID

The following table provides information about each entity:

Column

Description

Name

Displays the project name that you provide while creating it.

Date created

Displays the date when the entity was created.

Modified date

Displays the date when the entity was last modified.

Created by

Displays the name of the user who created the entity.

ID

Displays the ID of the entity that indicates the position where the entity is created for that entity type in Campaign Studio. For example, an ID of 4 represents the fourth entity created for that entity type.

Removing an entity from a project

To remove an entity from a project:

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Projects.
  3. On the Projects list page, select the project from which you want to remove an entity.
  4. On the Projects details page, click the dropdown corresponding to the entity and select Remove from project.

Filtering entities 

For entity types that support projects, you can search for the project name to filter all the entities that are associated with the project. 

For example, to search for all emails that are associated with a project, do the following:

  1. Log in to Campaign Studio.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Emails.
  3. On the Emails List page, in the search filter, enter project:"Project Name"
  4. Replace Project Name with the name of the project for which you want to search.

    Campaign Studio displays the result for all emails associated with the project.
