The Text Message feature enables you to engage with your audience through mobile messaging. You can send text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages to contacts through the SMS provider plugin, Twilio

Campaign Studio provides two types of text messages:

Template text messages: Sends text and multimedia messages to contacts through campaigns.
Segment text messages: Sends text and multimedia messages to contact segments.

For sending text and multimedia messages from Campaign Studio, you must:

Have a Twilio subscription
Configure the Twilio plugin

After you complete the configuration, Campaign Studio displays the Text Messages tab in the Channels section in the left navigation menu.

Note

Twilio supports sending multimedia messages only to US and Canada phone numbers.
To receive SMS communications, contacts must have a telephone number entered in the Phone or Mobile field on their contact record.
