This page provides information about how to use the IRE MasterCustomer Staging View feature for the following scenario:
- As a data engineer, it is essential to ensure that testing a new IRE rule for addressing data discrepancies in customer records does not affect the current production dataset.
Requesting the IRE Staging View¶
- Engage with Acquia Professional Services through one of the following ways:
- If you have an assigned to assigned Acquia Professional Services consultant, contact them to get assistance with your request.
- If you do not have an active Acquia Professional Services consultant, request an assessment from the team for a Level of Effort (LOE) to facilitate further consultation.
- Provide a clear IRE scenario and specify the primary identifiers or values that you want to update, add, or remove.
Reviewing the IRE Staging View request¶
After your request is processed, the Acquia Professional Services consultant implements the rule change. The system includes the change in the next day's Business Intelligence pipeline run and maintains the usual runtime duration. On completion of the pipeline rerun, you must review the results in the mastercustomer_stage
table.
- Access the new master customer count in the staging table through Interactive Queries or your Snowflake share.
- Review the results and do one of the following:
- If any further changes are required, re-engage with your Acquia Professional Services consultant.
- If no further changes or testing are required, inform your Acquia Professional Services consultant.
Deploying the IRE to the production¶
- After aligning with the set rule review of the IRE Staging View, request your Acquia Professional Services consultant to deploy it to your PROD IRE tenant.
- Ensure that the rollout to PROD is reflected in the next full pipeline refresh.
