There are a variety of ways to manage new users in Acquia DAM. One of the recommended ways is to use single sign-on, or SSO. An SSO integration provides a pass-through token from a managed internal site (intranet) to the DAM and will automatically create a user account when someone logs in from the intranet site.
The other recommended way is to use registration codes. Registration codes are created to make the administrative process of approving new accounts more efficient. When someone registers for an account, the registration code provided has a pre-assigned role (user group), which allows you to view the registration and determine if the role is correct. Registration codes can be set up to automatically approve users, if appropriate.
When setting up registration codes, ensure you assign at least one role to the code in the permission settings. New user account registrations will not display in the Pending Registration Requests queue on the Admin dashboard if a role isn't assigned.
You can choose to expire new user accounts within a certain number of days using registration codes. When that's set up, users will have access to your DAM site for the number of days you choose, but not after.
